The event will be held at Pellissippi State Community College’s Magnolia Avenue Campus on Thursday\, Jan. 13 and Friday\, Jan. 14. \nKUB staff will be on-hand to help job seekers learn more about available careers and provide information about the benefits of working at KUB. The utility offers a wide variety of jobs\, including finance\, IT\, customer service\, construction\, maintenance\, business support\, and engineering. Recently\, the utility added a Fiber Division to help improve electric system performance and deliver broadband services throughout the region. KUB plans to add 200 new jobs over the next several years to support the fiber deployment and new fiber internet services. \nPeople interested in attending the job fair are encouraged to register for the event by visiting www.kub.org/jobfair and completing the registration form. DESCRIPTION:On July 6\, 2019\, Alumni of Austin and Austin-East High Schools will celebrate the 140th Anniversary of the opening of the first school in 1879. The Austin A-E Alumni Association will publish 1500 souvenir books for this occasion. These books are for celebrants\, many of whom travel from all over the country to attend this event. Those who attend this event will cherish this book as it will be greatly enlarged and enhanced for this gathering. It will contain many additional photos going back decades: of gratuating classes\, of those alumni who have distinguished themselves in their choosen fields\, and of groups of people who attended previous reunions. For a gathering of this size\, we believe it will be of great service to those traveling from other cities to include ads of local businesses\, churches\, civic and community organizations of which they may avail themselves-during their stay and in the future. Magnolia Avenue\, Knoxville TN 37914 \nThe purpose of the parade is to offer the community a visual and audible display in tribute to the life and works of Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. \nGroups\, organizations and individuals are welcome to join us. You may Register Online by completing the Registration Form below. Before Registering we ask that you click on the Parade Information & Acknowledgement Form and read the Parade Rules and Regulations. The MLK Parade will begin at Midway (Chilhowee Park) which is located at 3300 E. Magnolia Avenue\, Knoxville TN 37914. The Midway Chilhowee Park entrance is directly off of North Beaman Street\, parallel to Martin Luther King\, Jr. Avenue. The MLK Parade route will end at Harriet Tubman Street\, where the Memorial Tribute Service will take place at Overcoming Believers Church located at 211 Harriet Tubman Street\, Knoxville TN 37915. \nOnsite registration will take place at Andrew’s Electric located at 3404 Martin Luther King\, Jr. Avenue\, Knoxville\, TN 37914. KAT will begin picking up participants whom may park at Overcomers Believers Church as early as 8:00 AM. They will transport individualds back to Chilhowee Park until 2:00 PM.
